Guided foraging walk.

Join founding naturalist Laura Chávez Silverman for a group a walk through the glorious summer landscape as the goldenrod blooms and thunderstorms bring mushrooms. Hone your powers of observation as we explore what grows in our local woods, including edible and medicinal species. Is nature predictable? No. Will we find mushrooms? Perhaps. Will we learn about the ideal conditions for foraging mushrooms and how to recognize identifying characteristics? Definitely. A light trail snack is included. Space is limited; advance registration is required.

Of note: This is a rain or shine event, unless advance notice is given. Terrain and pace are slow and easy. All ages and abilities are welcome.
