Guided nature walk.

Laura Silverman, Founding Naturalist at TOI, leads fellow naturalists interested in exploring the wonders of the spring landscape in one of the most outstanding examples of a large intact floodplain forest in New York. Observe and learn about native flora, fauna and fungi as we walk through vernal pools and among old sycamore trees, along the banks of the Neversink River. Limited to 12. A light trail snack will be provided. Advance registration is required.

Location: Neversink Preserve, Huguenot, NY. Exact meeting place will be emailed to participants.

Of note: Due to the amount of precipitation this season, terrain can be wet and muddy, so appropriate footwear is essential. Water bottle, insect repellent are recommended; binoculars could come in handy.
