Laura Silverman, Founding Naturalist at TOI, travels to Blue Cashew Kitchen Homestead in Kingston, NY, to give a workshop on crafting your own bitters. We’ll kick things off with a welcome drink and bitters tasting before discussing their history and health benefits, endless ingredient possibilities, tools and techniques. You’ll learn to make two seasonal bitters—Warming Spice Bitters featuring wild-harvested spicebush berries and Barberry-Maple Bitters with wild barberry root, bee pollen and local maple syrup—that you’ll take home with you along with an amber glass dispensing bottle. We’ll also demo two cocktails that can be made with your bitters. Advance registration required. SIGN UP ONLY AT BLUE CASHEW.
