Saturday, April 28, 11am-1pm. Easy to moderate terrain. 

Woodland walk. (Rain or shine.)

Laura Silverman, Founding Naturalist at TOI, leads you through an early spring landscape of ephemerals; sightings may include ramps, fiddleheads, toothwort, trout lilies, blue cohosh, jack-in-the-pulpit and trillium. Soak up the phytoncides (beneficial compounds emitted by plants) and discover wild edibles. A light trail snack will be provided. Limited to 10.

Location: Sullivan County TBD. Details will be emailed directly to participants.

Of note: Terrain may be muddy. Check forecast and wear rain gear if necessary. Sunscreen, tick repellent and water bottle recommended.
